Anchor Receivables Management

Anchor Receivables Management was founded in 2001 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Portfolio Recovery Associates. As the principal, Portfolio Recovery Associates performs numerous tasks to include purchasing, collecting and managing portfolios of charged off consumer debt. They also provide collateral location and skip tracing services for credit originators. Anchor Receivables Management is solely dedicated to the collection of third party charged off consumer debt. Anchor Receivables Management is known to report negative collection account information on the consumers' credit report in their attempt to collect debt.

Federal laws have been passed that grant collection agencies like Anchor Receivables Management the right to report negative information on your consumer credit report. This can cause major damage to your credit report and lower your credit scores, in turn creating several issues for you as a consumer. One of the largest issues created by having low credit scores is the increased probability for higher interest rates and the potential chance for altogether credit denial.

I had numerous charge offs, judgments, and collection accounts being reported on my credit report that were seriously damaging my credit score and negatively affecting my ability to obtain credit. Some of the negative collection accounts on my credit report were being reported by Anchor Receivables Management. I finally decided it was time to do something about it so I attempted to perform credit repair myself by contacting collection agencies to include Anchor Receivables Management in an attempt to negotiate some kind of arrangement with them. I was hoping to have Anchor Receivables Management agree to delete the negative information on my credit report. Dealing with collection agencies like Anchor Receivables Management was more time consuming and aggravating than I could have possibly imagined but even worse, none of the collection agencies were willing to work with me and continued to report the damaging information to the credit bureaus. It didn't take long for me to realize that credit repair wasn't going to be an easy task to perform.

I needed results and didn't have the patience or hundreds of hours it was going to take so I contacted Credit Restoration Bureau. They immediately went to work on my credit by dealing with the negative collection account information placed on my credit report by Anchor Receivables Management. They were able to raise my credit score by deleting all sorts of derogatory items from my consumer credit file such as late payments and collection accounts (see the letter below). Working with Credit Restoration Bureau was a much more pleasant and worry free experience than I could have hoped for. Each time I received an update from Credit Restoration Bureau, I was delighted to see they were continuing to have a positive effect on my credit score. By the time Credit Restoration Bureau was finished, my credit scores had all gone up approximately 150 points and I was in the 700s. Even more importantly, I was no longer worried about being hassled by collection agencies like Anchor Receivables Management. Credit Restoration Bureau had truly given me a fresh start.

Here is one of the update letters I received from the credit bureaus. This one is from TransUnion and shows the deletion of an Anchor Receivables Management collection account.
